Forgiveness and Grace

Series: Daily Light from the Word — Day 23

Scripture Reading:

“Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
— Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.”
— 1 John 1:9 (KJV)

Forgiven by God

One of the greatest blessings of salvation is the forgiveness of sins. Through Jesus Christ, God has provided full and complete forgiveness. No sin is too great, and no failure is beyond His mercy.

Extending Forgiveness to Others

Because we have been forgiven, we are called to forgive others. This can be difficult, especially when we have been deeply hurt. Yet forgiveness reflects the grace God has shown us.

A Heart of Grace

Forgiveness frees the heart from bitterness and restores peace. It allows believers to walk in grace rather than carry the weight of resentment.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your forgiveness. Help me extend that same grace to others. Remove any bitterness from my heart and teach me to walk in love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
