Series: Daily Light from the Word — Day 47
Scripture Reading:
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:4 (KJV)
Gifts Given by God
God has given spiritual gifts to believers for the purpose of serving and building up the church. These gifts are not earned—they are given by God according to His will.
Each believer has a role to play in the body of Christ.
Different but United
Not all believers have the same gifts, but all are equally important. The variety of gifts allows the church to function effectively. Unity does not come from sameness, but from working together under God’s direction.
Every gift contributes to the overall mission.
Using What God Has Given
Spiritual gifts are meant to be used, not hidden. When believers actively use their gifts, the church grows stronger and more effective.
Discovering and developing these gifts comes through involvement, prayer, and a willingness to serve.
Serving with Purpose
Using spiritual gifts brings purpose and direction to service. It allows believers to contribute in ways that align with how God has equipped them.
Faithful use of these gifts honors God and benefits others.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts You have given me. Help me discover and use them for Your glory. Teach me to serve faithfully and strengthen Your church through what You have entrusted to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
